Over the years, Bigg Boss has turned out to be one of the most loved television shows in India, with crores of people across the country tuning in each night to Colors TV. This year was the 13th season of the reality show and the finale has just ended, after a night of glitz and glamour.
6 contestants reached the finale day after 4 months of toiling in the Bigg Boss house in Mumbai, namely Sidharth Shukla, Asim Riaz, Rashami Desai, Arti Singh, Shehnaaz Gill and Paras Chhabra. After much awaiting, the winner was announced a while back, taking away a swanky new car and Rs.50 Lakh in prize money.
After multiple highs and lows that each one witnessed in the house, we finally had a winner in Sidharth Shukla, who was loved even though he had a number of tussles and controversies during his stay at the house. Most people loved his daring to say what he pleased, regardless of what everyone else’s opinions were.
Before he was announced winner, the night was packed with fun filled activities and performances from the finalists and other artists. When offered the chance to walk away with Rs.10 Lakh, it was Paras Chhabra who made the smart decision of accepting the prize and walking away, leaving just 5 contestants in the running.
Host Salman Khan also announced that from the remaining 5, the four runner-ups will be taken to an adventure park in Abu Dhabi as a consolation prize. However, Shukla won’t be needing that trip! It was Arti who went out in 5th place, Rashami who went out in 4th place and Shenaaz in 3rd place as two of the so-called rivals faced off in the battle for the trophy and Rs.50 Lakh in prizes plus a swanky new cat. Eventually, Shukla was declared winner with 44% of total votes while Asim bagged a decent share of 35% of votes received.
