Zimbabwe’s premier one day competition is known and the 2020 Pro50 Championship has proved to be quite exciting so far. In Match 10, we have an unbeaten Matabeleland Tuskers who have 3 wins in 3 games so far, though they’re second on the points table because Mountaineers managed a higher net run rate so far. However, the Tuskers have a game in hand.
In fact, their chances of going ahead and topping the table are high as they play a down-and-out team in Mid West Rhinos, who have lost both their matches so far this competition. They will be looking to open their account, but it’s not going to be easy. Keep reading for our complete MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy preview of the MT vs MWR game…

Form (recent first)

- Head to head in last 5 matches, Matabeleland leads 3-1.
- Sean Williams – 9 wickets in 3 games so far this season.
- After 3 games in this season, Brian Chari has been dismissed just once.
- Craig Ervine – 3 fifties in last 6 games for Zimbabwe.
With your eyes closed, pick Sean Williams in your MT vs MWR fantasy team. New captain of the Zimbabwe cricket team, he’s their most prolific run scorer and is also currently leading the wicket-takers charts with a best of 4/44. With the bat, he has 112 runs and is yet to be dismissed after 2 innings. Brian Chari also has international experience, and has scores of 48*, 3 and 102* in 3 games so far this series.
Another good pick with the bat could be Craig Ervine who missed the first 2 games but returned to the side and scored 38* in his only game so far. With 32 wickets in 30 international games for Zimbabwe, Luke Jongwe becomes an interesting pick. He won’t be selected by many since he has only 2 wickets in 3 games, but remember, he has only bowled once so far.
Mid West Rhinos
I spoke about 2 batsmen from the Rhinos line-up, Peter Moor and opener Prince Masvaure, both of whom have international experience of late. Both failed with scores of 20 and 8 in the first game but then came out strong to post scores of 50 and 100 respectively, so they’re going to be in my MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team once again. X-factor – Tarisai Musakanda.
With the ball, Carl Mumba and Tendai Chisoro will be popular fantasy picks. However, I’m going to go in with lesser known players like Brandon Mavuta and Neville Madziva, both of whom have played for the national side and both of whom haven’t been able to pick a single wicket so far in 2 games this tournament. They can be extremely high-value fantasy picks today.
