Between 18-25 August 2019, we’re going to see some T20 action from the other side of the world as USA, Cayman Islands and Canada have travelled to Bermuda to be a part of the Americas Region T20 Final where 12 T20 matches will be played at Sandy’s Parish, Hamilton, Bermuda.
The first day is a double header as every other day and Match 1 of the tournament is Bermuda vs USA. The two have played each other in the past but after T20 status was awarded to all, they will be facing off for the first time. Be very careful while selecting your team. We don’t know much about these players but we know that Dion Stovell was named captain. However, three days before the tournament, Terryn Fray was named as stand-in skipper as Stovell was hit on the head by a bouncer in a domestic game last month. Fray scored a couple of fifties (56, 77) against Jersey and Vanuatu earlier this year.
32-year old Justin Pitcher will play the role of an all-rounder. Last representing his country in 2012, Pitcher was a regular wicket-taker and can bat as well. His last game against USA in 2010 saw him picking 3/45. 24-year old Kamau Leverock is probably one of their most exposed players also representing Notts 2nd XI where he picked a best of 4/78 and scored a best of 41 in recent months.

These players you would’ve heard more of in the CPL and the more recent Global T20 Canada 2019. Ali Khan is the first name on my fantasy team as his swing bowling can beat even the best of batsmen. He picked 7 wickets in 7 games at the GT20 2019 but can cause much more damage here.
Similarly, Australia’s Cameron Gannon has migrated to USA after playing for Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat in the BBL. Steven Taylor is someone you can’t miss in your PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234”) fantasy as he performs with both bat and ball on most occasions. He scored 88 vs Hong Kong and 95 vs UAE earlier this year, also picking 5/26 against UAE Men’s XI.
