At the ICC 2019 World Cup, both of Sri Lanka and South Africa have been pathetic and have managed to knock themselves out of the tournament. Elsewhere in the world, their youngsters are participating in the 2019 CSA Emerging Players Triangular Series, with Sri Lanka – Emerging Team is playing two South African local teams. 2 games have been played so far and today will be Match 3 of the triangular series.
SL Emerging Team is playing University Sports South Africa XI today and while both teams have played a game each, they are playing each other for the first time. SL-ET won their first game against SA-ET by 4 wickets while USSA XI lost their opener to the same team by a massive 168 runs. University Sports South Africa XI
This team is being led by Neil Brand and while he opens the innings with the bat, he is handy with the ball as well, picking up 2 wickets in the last game even though he bagged a duck. He plays for Northerns in the SA domestic circuit. Rubin Herman is another player who bagged a duck in the last game and honestly, it has been 8 games since he got a double-digit score, so I’d not waste my credits on him for this game.
Picking up 6 wickets in 2 games for Gauteng recently was Delano Potgieter and this guy is a good middle-order batsman as well, scoring 21 and picking up 2 wickets in the last game. The highest scorer for USSA in that game was Isma-eel Gafieldien who scored 50(64) and also had a couple of fifties for Boland earlier this year, so he’s a worthy selection in your fantasy team as well.
Sri Lanka – Emerging Team
Sri Lanka is being led by Sandun Weerakkody and you should definitely pick this player since you know he will play and also since he has played for the senior team in the past. He scored 20 in the first game of this series but is coming off a couple of fifties and a century in Sri Lanka domestic cricket in the last couple of months.

Another must have player in your Dotball (Sign-up and get Rs. 51 FREE) fantasy team is Sangeeth Cooray. This guy was a part of the Sri Lanka A team that recently toured India and while the visitors lost badly, Cooray was one of the standout performers with scores of 88 and 61 in the last couple of games. With the ball, Amila Aponso could be a good option especially since he was experience at the highest level and also because he bagged 3 wickets in the first game.
