Cody Chetty missed out in the last game, having scored only 8 but I’ve seen this guy blast on all cylinders in the past so he makes my team, risking him also to be my vice-captain. Al-rounders are preferred in fantasy cricket but the lack of quality all-rounders here means I will maintain them as normal players.
Captain Khaya Zondo also makes my team, while Keshav Maharaj makes the cut as well. Maharaj will handle the pressure with the ball while Morne van Wyk becomes my wicket-keeper pick. The amount of experience he brings to the fore is enormous and I’d like to see the 40-year old better his score of 17 from the last game.
Lions
Andile Phehlukwayo will be missing for Lions due to injury, so don’t pick him in your fantasy side. This could be a big loss for the team as he is one of the most talented all-rounders. However, they have other talented players in the squad including Ryan Rickelton, who is in some fascination form.
He scored 69 in the last game while captain Temba Bavuma also scored a vital 46. Both these players are in my team and Rickelton also becomes my captain. He is fresh off a 70-odd score followed by a century in the Momentum One Day Cup as well. Wiaan Mulder is fresh off international exposure so he can be selected, as well as Nono Pongolo with the ball.
