The 2019 Emerging Teams Asia Cup takes place between 14-23 November 2019 where 8 teams will battle it out before the semi final and finals take place. All teams will be in action on the opening day and one game will be between India ET and Nepal ET in Savar. In another game, we have the Sri Lanka Emerging Team in action and they will start as major favourites against Oman Emerging Team.
Make sure you pick the captains and those who you are sure will start, since there isn’t much of information this tournament. Sri Lanka ET is the defending champion and they will look to begin with a win here at Cox’s Bazar. Sri Lanka Emerging Team
Two players you can pick for sure are both batsmen. One is the captain Charith Asalanka who has been piling on the runs for SL Emerging Team in recent months while the other is vice-captain Kamindu Mendis who has been in smacking form. The lowest score he has been dismissed for in his last 10 games is 17 and he is an upcoming player, currently having 2 consecutive fifties for Sri Lanka A.
26-year old Amila Aponso has only 7 wickets in his last 10 games but he has a few matches fr the senior side and experience counts big time, especially when playing a lower age bracket. Minod Bhanuka is also in the squad after a debut against Pakistan in Pakistan recently, where he scored 36.
Oman Emerging Team
This team has plenty of all-rounders in it and you can add them all to your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team. However, Zeeshan Maqsood, Khawar Ali, and Bilal Khan have been rested after a good outing in the T20 World Cup Qualifier in UAE. With 8 wickets and 70 runs in that tournament, Aamir Kaleem did well and he will lead Oman ET in this tournament.
Jay Odedra played one game in UAE and with a few senior players rested, he may get an outing here and will look to impress. The vice-captain of the team will continue to be Aqib Ilyas who had a best of 60 in that tournament and also bowled twice, picking a wicket each time. Pakistan born Fayyaz Butt had 8 wickets in that tournament and is a strong contender for vice-captain of your fantasy team.
