First and foremost, pick Sufiyan Shaikh as your wicket-keeper as NMP have kept switching their wicket keeper between Ajinkya Patil and Swapnil Salvi. Next on your team list should be Akhil Herwadkar, who had a brilliant opening to the season with 161 runs in the first 3 games and then he has had a lull with just 1 and 0 in the next two games. His popularity in fantasy teams will drop but I’ll continue showing faith in this player.
Kevin Almeida has been good as a captain in MPL 2019 but he hasn’t been able to contribute as much as he would’ve expected. The last game saw him scoring 59 and picking a wicket but I’ll take a gamble and drop him for Iqbal Abdulla. The player has IPL experience and after going wicketless and expensive in the first couple of games, he has picked 6 wickets in the next 3 games. Also, his promotion up the order has been working as he scored 54(43) in the last game.
North Mumbai Panthers
Prithvi Shaw hasn’t been at his destructive best that we know he can be, even though he had a decent IPL 2019. However, he’s not someone we can skip out. His opening partner Vikrant Auti is a must have and making him vice-captain won’t be a bad idea as we know he can be called on to bowl as well.
Wit the ball, Rahul Sawant has been magical and I can’t drop him considering he has picked a wicket in every game and that his economy rate is a tad below 6, which is very rare in T20 cricket. Another option for your PlayerzPot (Use Code “READ1234”) fantasy team could be Pravin Tambe, who went wicketless and expensive for the first 3 games but has now found his rhythm. He bagged 2/17 in the last game.
