Bangladesh U-19 has been absolutely flawless on this ongoing tour of New Zealand, where they have already wrapped up the 5-match Youth ODI series, winning 3-0 and also winning the tour match prior to that, which means four our of four on tour so far. The series continues with 2 games left to be played at the same ground and a whole lot of pride to be played for for New Zealand U-19.
So far, the visitors have won all three games chasing so if New Zealand want to try something new, it might be bowling first instead in the 4th Youth ODI. The medium pacers have done better than the slower bowlers and spinners, so pick accordingly. New Zealand U-19
Both teams have adopted a rotational policy so far in this series and for the hosts, captain Ollie White has played 3 games and scored 30 30, 6 so far. It hasn’t been a sensational series for him so far, but we’re sure he will be playing in the 4th Youth ODI. After scoring 21 in the 1st ODI and being dropped for the next one, Fergus Lellman top scored with 116* in the 3rd ODI and he’s almost certain to keep his place in the side.
A good all-round option is that of Jesse Tashkoff who picked 2 wickets in the 1st ODI and then returned to the side in the 3rd ODI, scoring 20 and getting 0/46 with the ball. He was the first change bowler and batted at number 5 so there’s plenty of involvement in the game. With the ball, Adithya Ashok hasn’t had the best series with only 2 wickets in 3 games and chances are the management will give him another go.
Watch out for Avishek Das as the bowler played his first game in the 3rd ODI, picking up 2/28 after taking a wicket in the warm-up game as well. In 6 recorded games for Bangladesh U-19, he is yet to end wicketless. Another player who played his first game in the 3rd ODI was Hasan Murad who also picked up 2 wickets and has been among the wickets for BKSP as well in the domestic circuit.
With 158 runs in 3 games and 65 in his last 2 innings on this tour, Tanzid Hasan is a good option for your Nostragamus (sign-up with “READSCOOPS” for Rs.100 FREE) fantasy picks, given he also made 102 in the practice game. However, he has played all 3 games so far and may be swapped out for someone else. Another batting star is Towhid Hriday who scored 51* in the last game and was one of the star players in the triangular series in England recently.
