Qatar T10 League 2019 – DES vs SWI Fantasy Preview

The Qatar T10 League 2019 kicked off on 7th December and this shortest format is getting more popular by the day. After a single game on the first day, we have two matches on Day 2 of the tournament, both to be played at the same ground in Doha. In Match 2, we have Desert Riders in action. A majority of the players will be Qatar origin, so those guys are in the playing eleven for sure.

They will be up against Swift Gallopers, both teams playing their first respective games of the 2019 Qatar T10 league. Choose your fantasy teams with care for the first round of matches as we’re not yet sure who’s leading the teams and whose participation is confirmed. Numbers

  • Kithuruwan Vithanage – 5 single-digit scores in last 10 games.
  • Oshane Thomas – 17 wickets in 8 matches at the 2019 Super50 Cup.
  • Luke Wright – 0 single-digit scores in last 10 professional matches.
  • Gayan Munaweera in last 9 games for Qatar – 19 wickets.

Desert Riders

One of the overseas picks is Khurram Manzoor who has played 26 international games for Pakistan and most recently, he scored a fifty and a century in 6 FC games for Sindh, so he’s in my fantasy team. Other international players from Sri Lanka are Imal Liyanage and Kithuruwan Vitanage, one who doesn’t have much experience and is 42-years old and the other who isn’t in great form, so both aren’t ideal selections.

This team’s bowling department is very strong, especially with Sohail Tanvir at the top of the attack. With 100+ games for Pakistan and plenty of experience at T20 leagues, Tanvir is a good fantasy pick who can be handy with the bat as well. Bangladesh’s Shahadat Hossain is also in the squad, while Oshane Thomas from the Caribbean can also be picked. Thomas is a wicket-machine and can also be your fantasy team’s captain.

Swift Gallopers

Former Pakistani opener Imran Nazir is in the squad and now 37 years old, he doesn’t have much to show for in recent months since he hasn’t been playing much of cricket. I’m picking him because of his experience of 100+ games for Pakistan. Playing a brief stint of 14 games in the Windies team, Danza Hyatt is a stylish batsman who also hasn’t played any professional cricket in the last 2 years, but I’ll pick him anyway.

Chirag Suri is in the squad but won’t be playing as he’s with the UAE squad at the CWC League 2 tournament. Another captain option for your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team is Luke Wright who has stopped bowling but has been in tremendous batting form, including three 40+ scores in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. Your x-factor bowler could be Qatar’s very own Gayan Munaweera.
