Qatar T10 League 2019 – SWI vs HEA Fantasy Preview

Every day, two games are scheduled at the Qatar T10 League. It was unfortunate that both yesterday’s matches were ruled out due to rain. Today however, we’re hoping for better weather and the first game of the double header has been scheduled between Falcon Hunters and Desert Riders. The second game follows soon after, between Swift Gallopers and Heat Stormers.

Swift Gallopers began their season with a loss but they quickly recovered from it to win their second game, now in the middle of the points table. As for the Stormers, they are yet to open their account this season. They suffered a loss in their opening game and had their second game washed out. Numbers

  • First 7 matches of 2019 Qatar T10 League – only one won batting first.
  • Kamran Akmal – 865 runs in 10 games at the 2019 Quaid-e-Azam trophy.
  • Zaheer Ibrahim so far in this tournament – 41 runs and 2 wickets.

Swift Gallopers

Opening the innings for Gallopers is Kamran Akmal who set the powerplay overs alight in the last game. He’s coming off 3 fifties and 3 tons in the recent FC season and with scores of 29 and 25 so far in the 2019 Qatar T10 League, he’s surely in my team. There wasn’t much available on opener Zaheer Ibrahim before the last game. However, 2 wickets and a well-made 32 impressed one and all. He’s also got a fifty against Singapore in Sep 2019.

Canada’s Ravinderpal Singh brings some experience into the side and though he only scored 21 and 1 so far, he bowled 2 overs for a wicket in the last game, so I have him in my team. Specialist bowler Gayan Wimalashantha has only bowled an over each in both games, but he bowled a double-wicket over in the last game so he should be given a second over today. Pick him too!

Heat Stormers

Not much information on Qatar local Imraz Rafi who bagged a platinum duck and didn’t even get a wicket in the team’s opening game, and he won’t be very popular among fantasy teams. Hence, I’ll pick the all-round player in my team for today. UAE’s Andri Berenger is another player I’ll pick, opening the innings with Rafi. He’s been consistently scoring, and he carried that form here with 18(10) in the first game.

Satvir Singh is another all-round player, smashing 23(13) in the first game, while bowling one over as well. All-rounders have more of chances of scoring fantasy points and that’s why I have him in my My11Circle (Get Rs.500 Bonus*) team. Manpreet Gony is leading the side and he smashed a six in 3 balls faced, also bowling just a single scoring ball in his first over, ending with 0/16 in 2 overs. Don’t miss out on Gony!
