Experience always counts and that’s why Javed Ahmadi was always on my team sheet first throughout this tournament. Having played for Afghanistan, he has been exposed to better bowling attacks and here, he has 1 fifty, 1 century and a batting average of 65+ to go with a best score of 117*; he bowls sometimes too. The team is being captained by Rashid Khan and while I wasn’t picking him initially, I will do so now.
Rashid has only 2 wickets in 5 games but he’s now promoted himself to open the innings and has got 18 and 26 runs in his last 2 games. A lot of teams may select Afsar Zazai who has 180 runs this season and 56* last game, but he bats too low down the order for my liking. I’d instead pick Imran Janat who scored 44 in the last game after failures of 1 and 4 prior to this. With the ball, Nijat Masood has 8 wickets in 4 games.
Kabul Eagles
Waqar Salamkheil is the tournament leader when it comes to wickets in the 2019 Shapgeeza League and his 4-fer i the last game helped his cause. Another good bowling option for your fantasy team today is Amir Hamza who has managed 8 wickets in just 5 games this tournament, and his consistency is why you should pick him. He hasn’t gone wicketless even once so far this season.
