Sri Lanka A Tour of India 2019 – 4th ODI Fantasy Preview

After the first 3 ODIs, one thing we do know is that high scores are expected, with individual centuries being see in every games. In fact, we’ve had multiple centuries in a single game on a couple of occasions on this Sri Lanka A tour of India 2019. Take your focus away from the ongoing ICC 2019 World Cup for a bit and you will find a lot of value in these matches in fantasy cricket.

However, be careful while selecting teams as both teams have tried plenty of combinations while India A is clearly following a rotational policy in the series. With the last loss, they may want to bring back a player or two from the original playing 11. Remember to edit your teams after the toss. Stats

  • Shehan Jayasuriya’s last three innings – 108*, 101, 66*.
  • Akila Dananjaya – 1 wicket in 3 matches on this tour.
  • Shivam Dubey – 34 runs and 5 wickets in this series.

India A

Ruturaj Gaikwad won his first IPL contract earlier this year and we spoke to him about it here. He smashed two unbeaten centuries and has undoubtedly been the star if this series so far. However, India A has adopted a rotation policy this series which meant they dropped both centurions Gaikwad and Shubman Gill. Prashant Chopra dazzled with 129 in the last game which means he’ll keep his spot but one of Gaikwad or Gill should return. Pick whichever one makes the side.

I’m a big fan of the disciplined bowling of Sandeep Warrier. He played a couple of games in IPL 2019 and even has a couple of wickets in 2 games here. He can be better and he will be my first pick in the bowling attack. Tushar Deshpande is coming off a successful MPL 2019 and if he returns to the side, make sure you pick him. If not, we can go in with Shreyas Gopal, who was expensive in the 3rd ODI but we know he’s a constant wicket-taker.

Sri Lanka A

Sri Lanka A found a few heroes in the last game and the biggest positive was Niroshan Dickwella’s 62 after a few low scoring games. Now with the powerhouse Dickwella and India’s Ishan Kishan being competition, not many would go in for Sadeera Samarawickrama as a wicket-keeper pick and that’s where you can win yourself big money in the grand leagues. He has international experience but won’t be picked by many given that he has 5 consecutive single digit scores on this tour.

Due to the consistent inability to pick wickets, Akila Dananjaya was dropped in the last game and Lakshan Sandakan was brought in. He was an integral part of the Sri Lankan squad until a couple of months back, even having two 5-wicket hauls at the international level, so I’ll pick him in my Dotball (Sign-up and get Rs.51 FREE) fantasy team even though he was wicketless in the 3rd ODI. Of course, let’s not leave out the MOM from that game, Chamika Karunaratne.
