So much excitement and anticipation and we’re all set to kick off the 2019 Abu Dhabi T10 League with all 29 games being scheduled at the same ground in Abu Dhabi between 15-24 November 2019. The opening game takes place between Northern Warriors and Maratha Arabians at 6pm. Match 2 takes place immediately after with Deccan Gladiators vs Delhi Bulls at the same venue.
Both these teams weren’t a part of the T10 League in the past and will be playing each other for the first time. Remember, don’t pick present Pakistani players as they had their NOCs revoked a couple of weeks prior to the tournament. Deccan Gladiators
The team will be led by Shane Watson and mind you, this man may be retired but he’s nowhere close to being done with cricket. He scored 3 fifties in IPL 2019 and while he may be slightly rusty and not worthy of picking as captain, I’ll pick him as a normal player for sure. Anton Devcich is another brilliant all-rounder with experience in leagues around the world. He recently scored 78 in 2 games against England XI.
All-rounders galore as Ben Cutting is also a part of the squad and I wouldn’t mind picking all three as Cutting loves to big the big shots, which he can do with ease in this 10 over format. Kieron Pollard is also a part of the squad but he’s currently with the national side in India. With the ball, leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed and medium pacer Zahoor Khan both have plenty of experience and should be in your team.
Delhi Bulls
Recently scoring 91 in one of the 5 T20s against New Zealand, Eoin Morgan is in good form and the captain can be picked in your MyFab11 (sign-up with code “READAD46“) fantasy team today. To help him with the bat, we have Ireland’s Paul Stirling who played and did well here last year too. He will open the innings and bowling will be a bonus.
Another vastly experienced player is Shoaib Malik who will bat in the middle order and is sure to bowl too, coming off a successful stint at the CPL 2019. Mohammad Nabi shouldn’t be picked as he’s in India playing Windies at the moment. Watch out for Dutch batsman Tobias Visee while another high value player could be USA’s Ali Khan who swings the ball early on, bagging 5 wickets in his last 3 games at CPL 2019.
