A couple of days back, the ACC U-19 Asia Cup began in Sri Lanka and we’ve finished 4 games so far. Once again, we have 2 games scheduled for the day and we’re beginning with a Group A fixture between India U-19 and of course, the brilliant rivalry continues, Pakistan U-19. These two always produce fantastic games of cricket and we can expect nothing different here, but India remains favourite.
India U-19 won their opening game rather easily against Kuwait, emerging victorious by 7 wickets. On the other hand, it wasn’t a great start to the tournament for Pakistan U-19 as they suffered a rather embarrassing loss to Afghanistan U-19. Keep reading for our complete Dotball (Sign-up and get Rs.51 FREE) fantasy preview of the IND U-19 vs PAK U-19 game…

Form (recent first)
- IND U19: W W L W L
- PAK U19: L W W W L
- India U19 beat Kuwait U19 by 7 wickets.
- Afghanistan U19 beat Pakistan U19 by 85 runs.
- Aamir Ali – 18 wickets in last 10 games for Pakistan U19.
- Fahad Munir – 190 runs and 10 wickets in last 10 games.
- Head to head in last 5 games, India U19 leads 4-1.
The Indian Colts begin as favourites led by Dhruv Jurel who is also a wicket-keeper. Pakistan’s wicket-keeper is also a wicket-keeper in great form so pick Jurel only if your fantasy league allows two keepers. If not, drop Jurel. He has 2 fifties and another 3 30+ scores in his last 10 games. However, he has plenty of support with the bat with batsmen like Arjun Azad, also in great form.
I picked Azad as my captain in the last game and he ended with the MOM award, scoring 60(58)* and taking his team home. I’ll pick him once again but not as captain. With two bowlers taking 3 wickets each, there won’t be many picking Vidyadhar Patil, who bagged 1/17 in 4 overs against Kuwait. I’ll pick him as he’s coming into this game with a lot of experience, picking 5 wickets in 3 games at the KPL 2019.
It was a rare failure for Rohail Nazir who got 16 in the last game but he’s my primary pick for wicket-keeper since he’s been around since a while and had 4 fifties in 6 U-19 games prior to that game against Afghanistan. Opening batsman Haider Ali has also been on a roll, also getting a rare failure with his score of 8 against Afghanistan. Prior to that, he recorded 575 runs in his last 10 games for PAK U-19.
With the ball, there have been a few options and Aamir Ali is one of the first I’ll add to my Dotball (Sign-up and get Rs.51 FREE) fantasy team, primarily because he was their best bowler in the last game. Fahad Munir also picked up wickets while he has 2 fifties in his last 10 games too, so he’s a must pick. With many going for the successful players from their first game, I’d suggest Naseem Shah who had 1/13 in 9 overs!
