Pick her in your team as this form has been going on since a while now, including a century and 2 fifties for Warwickshire Women in last month’s Royal London Women’s competition. Sarah Taylor is a popular pick and while she isn’t at her best, she looked good in an innings of 70 in one ODI. The opposition keeper Kycia Knight has only 1 fifty in 63 ODIs.
Alex Hartley and Bryony Smith were left out of the T20I squad while Katherine Brunt and Natalie Sciver returned. Another person added to the squad is Linsey Smith but it seems unlikely she will make the team for the 1st T20. Brunt should be a part of your team as she carries a lot of experience and Katie Cross is another bowler you can pick; she was England’s highest wicket-taker in the ODI series – 5 in 3 games.
Windies Women
It was a horrible ODI series for WI Women, but Hayley Matthews was a huge positive. We can expect her to be even better when she plays her favourite format – T20. She makes a good captain/vice-captain pick as she bagged 7 wickets and scored 40 runs in the ODI series. It wasn’t the best series for Taylor, getting only 2 wickets and 7 runs in 3 ODIs, but she’s capable of much more, and since there won’t be too many fantasy teams picking her, you should for sure. Another positive that came from that series was Chedean Nation, who ended as their top scorer with 66 runs and one particularly impressive knock of 42*. She has hit 63* in her last T20I knock. With the ball, you should pick Afy Fletcher for sure.
