New Zealand vs India 4th ODI Fantasy Preview

We move on to the Seddon Park in Hamilton to play the 4th ODI of a series that has been completely dominated by India so far. 3 ODIs on this tour and all three have been won by the visiting team, pretty comprehensively that too. Now, we’re here to put up a fantasy preview for New Zealand vs India 4th ODI, for all those who love Dream11 and similar platforms. We also did a similar preview for the 3rd ODI.

In this game, Rohit Sharma will take over captaincy duties. The pitch here tends to offer extra pace and bounce, while also being a good batting track. So, an important tip here would be to go in for the pacers, while also picking the best batsmen in both sides, but don’t go too heavy on the openers. Pace and bounce could mean a couple of early wickets too.

Virat Kohli out

Now here’s a real relief for those who love Virat Kohli, as you don’t always have to get stuck by picking him and making him your captain. In any fantasy game, you’re never going to make money by making the best player on the pitch your captain. Kohli has been rested for the rest of the tour and the only possible change in Team India’s winning combination would be Shubman Gill coming in for Kohli at the number 3 slot.

Tom Latham – Wicket keeper

Now this becomes a pretty obvious pick, especially since MS Dhoni missed the last game with a hamstring injury. Your next option is Dinesh Karthik, but I wouldn’t select DK unless I’m expecting a top order collapse for India. DK is a finisher whereas Latham is a top order batsman, and the latter has displayed some pretty good form in recent times too.

Batsmen

Shikhar Dhawan has been pretty good so far in this series, leading the run charts with 169 runs from 3 matches. He pairs up well with Rohit Sharma and I’m expecting the latter to go well with the bat tomorrow, especially since he’s due a big score and the fact that he has done pretty well every time he has taken over captaincy duties.

As for New Zealand, we’re going to have to rely on Ross Taylor and Latham again. Kane Williamson is one of the best batsmen in the world, but somehow, he has found ways to get out in this series thus far. The Kiwi openers have been pathetic so far and that’s where I would pick Mohammad Shami for India too. He has been in good rhythm and will be looking to snare out both openers.

All-rounders

A simple ‘Thank you’ caption is what Hardik Pandya uploaded to social media after his return to Team India following the backlash he received for his comments on the talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’. He bowled disciplined lines and picked up wickets, while we all know how destructive he can be with the bat too. He’s a must in your team, while Jimmy Neesham should feature there as well. He will be brought in to replace Doug Bracewell.
