Big Win For U Mumba, Yoddhas Defeat Bulls

Nagpur, 05 Aug:  Double header Saturday was played today at Mankapur Indoor Stadium, Nagpur. In the first match it was U Mumba who defated Dabang Delhi KC and won their second game in Vivo Pro Kabaddi League.Also the UP Yoddhas have won their second game of the league by defeating Bengaluru Bulls 27 – 32.

The first game tonight, Match Number 14 U Mumba v Dabang Delhi KC was played at Mankapur Indoor stadium. In starting couple of minutes it was a tight game of kabaddi, R. Sriram provided the Initial point and then the tackle of Kashiling Adake increased the lead by 0 – 2. Then it was the U Mumba raiders Anup Kumar and Shabeer Bapu who took the charge and by the end of the first half the score was 14 – 8 a six points lead.

Anup Kumar continued the attack from one side and U Mumba defense supported him by picking up some important tackle points. U Mumba continued the lead and Delhi’s Meraj Sheykh and Nilesh Shinde were the only two players who manage to score more than three points. The final score was after 40th minute was 36 – 22, A comfortable 14 points win for U Mumba.

The second game, Match Number 15 Bengaluru Bulls v UP Yoddhas played at the same venue at Nagpur. Both team played really well in this match but the tackle points proved crucial as Yoddhas Jeeva Kumar, Rajesh Narwal and Nitesh Kumar efforts provided a 5 points win for UP over Bengaluru. It was the Yoddhas who were in lead in both the half’s, the half time score was (8 -18) Yoddhas were leading by 10 points.

In the second half the confident Rohit Kumar and Ajay Kumar from bulls tried to lower the lead and in the last 8 minutes they were just 4 points behind. But Nitin Tomar’s successful raid in the last 8th minute once again changed the course of the game and the final score after the 40th minute was 27 – 32.
