Gujarat beat Delhi, Titans downfall Continues

Hyderabad, 01 Aug:  Gujarat Fortunegaints beat Dabang Delhi KC and UP Yoddha beat home team Telugu Titans in match 7 and 8 of the Vivo Pro-Kabaddi League 2017 here at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on Monday.

Gujarat Fortunegaints mark their first win in their opening game of Pro Kabaddi League 2017 against Dabang Delhi KC. The second game was the purely dominated by UP Yoddha’s thrashing the home team Telugu Titans by a huge points difference.

First game today was between the new team Gujarat Fortunegaints and a very experienced Dabang Delhi KC that defeated Jaipur Pink Panther last week. First Half was purely dominated by Fortunegaints having a lead of 10 points (15 – 5), It was a point in the match after second half were the score was 26 – 9 and Gujarat was leading by 17 points in 11th minute of second half play. But the Dabangs fighted well in last nine minutes, they didn’t give a single point to Fortunegaints and the score by the end of 40th minute was 26 – 20. Fortunegaints won by just 6 points.

It was the Faizal Atrachali who made it difficult for Dabangs to steal raid points in first half. He scored 4 points in defense and some contribution coming from the captain Sukesh Hegde.

The second of the day was a match between the home team Teleugu Titans and another debutant team UP Yoddhas. UP Yoddha’s has been the most composed side on papers and they proved that they really are by thrashing home team by a huge margin. First half of the match was very interesting as the home were just trailing by a point or two every minute. The half time score was 11 – 12 were Titans were trailing behind by a single point.

In the second we witness some finest raiding skills from the Surender Singh UP Yoddha’s raider. Remember the UP Yodha is the only team this season to have least number raiding bench strength but have quality one’s. Rahul Chaudhary was fighting like a lone ranger but that didn’t help team and after the final whistle the score was 18 – 31, a 13 point victory margin for UP Yoddha’s.
