What a game we had today in Vivo Pro Kabaddi League 2017. A full house was seen today at The Arena stadium here in Ahemdabad.
An exciting first game played between the two North Indian teams UP Yoddha and Patna Pirates. This two teams are currently the best sides of their respective zone. Both team started really well but coming into the last few minutes of play UP performed really well to take a 3 point lead over Patna, the score at the end of first half was 10 – 13.
The thriller continued in the second half as well. Nitin Tomar and Rishank Devadiga showed some brilliant performance, it was their effort that during the mid of second half UP was leading with a comfortable margin. But the “Dupki King” pradeep Narwal along with Monu Goyal and good defense changed the course of the game. In the end both team leveled up the score with 27 points each.
The second game today was played between the Home team Gujarat Fortunegaints and Abhishek’s Jaipur Pink Panthers. Gujarat had a great success at their home and Panthers were struggling to find a win. Again a very competitive start by both the teams in the first half. It was a competition between the great All rounder Manjeet Chhillar and the best Iranian defender Fazel Atrachali. Both team played really well and the first half was a tie with both team scoring 10 points each.
The second was expected to be a tough fight between the Fortunegaints and Panthers but Fortunegaints defense was fantastic. Gujarat dominated every minute of the second half and Panthers raider could not escape from strong catch of Fazel and Abozar. Sukesh Hegde captain played a supportive role and Sachin once again proved his presence in this side. Final score was 27 – 20 at the end of 40th minute.
