France enter FIFA World Cup Final

It was expected to be a high-octane clash between France and Belgium, and we certainly weren’t disappointed. It was the first semi-final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and both teams played some really good football. When the full-time whistle was blown after 90 minutes, none of the teams would’ve had any regrets.

The final score was 1-0 in favour of France, thanks to a Samuel Umtiti header in the 51st minute of the game – just the third international goal of his career. Belgium kept attacking but weren’t able to get past the French defence which was headed by Raphael Varane, Umtiti and Benjamin Pavard.

They had plenty of shots on goal and they wouldn’t have had any regrets after this match. They came into this tournament as the dark horses and they certainly proved what they are capable of doing. It was a fantastic tournament for the Belgians, in particular Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku.

However, Lukaku had a slightly off day last night. He had a couple of positions in front of goal that he would’ve mostly scored off, and if he did last night, the outcome could’ve been much different and Belgium could’ve landed themselves a World Cup final. However, that wasn’t the case as the Manchester United striker was slightly off his best yesterday.

It’s France who will be in the final and they are waiting on who their opponent will be, between England and Croatia. Most believe that France were in fact the strongest team in the tournament and that they will go on to lift the trophy, regardless of who they play in the final. However, let’s just wait and watch to see what really happens. If you want to know how to get free live streaming for the rest of the games, click here.
