Australian Open 2018 – Day 10 Results (Federer Into Semis)

The 2018 Australian Open is reaching its business end at the moment, with players now booking their spots in the semi final stages. For all Roger Federer fans, you guys would already know that he got through the quarter final and has booked his berth in the last 4 of the men’s draw.

It was another immaculate straight sets win for Federer, as he went past Tomas Berdych and registered a record 14th entry into the semi final stage of the Australian Open. He is yet to drop a set in this tournament so far! After Nadal getting knocked out yesterday, I don’t see anyone who can challenge Federer for the trophy.

For the women’s top seed Simona Halep, it was an easy win too, as she powered herself past Karolina Pliskova, and Halep is looking to be a strong contender for the trophy. However, she has very good competition in Angelique Kerber, who is seeded #21 but has also made her way to the semi finals. She was absolutely flawless today!

The men’s draw saw one unseeded quarter final with Tennys Sandgren taking on Hyeon Chung, both of who have already taken out a few giants in this tournament. However, it was the end of the tournament for Sandgren, with Chung winning in straight sets and entering his first ever Australian Open semi final.
